Deployka vs Hetzner vs Selectel: Hosting for a Telegram Bot

Compare Deployka managed containers with Hetzner and Selectel VPS by resources, price, root access, and maintenance.

Short answer: Deployka simplifies deploying and managing an app from a dashboard. Hetzner Cloud and Selectel VDS provide virtual machines with more control and the responsibility to configure and maintain the server. This compares service models, not a claim that one provider fits every workload.

Why the numbers are not directly comparable

Nano at ₽99 is a small container with 256 MB RAM and no root access. Selectel's entry VDS at ₽200 provides 1 GB RAM and control of a virtual machine, but you install and maintain the software yourself. Price alone does not show which option is better value: account for your time, IPv4, traffic, tax, backups, and the resources you actually need.

We do not quote a fixed Hetzner price: it depends on server type and location, and the latest 2026 price adjustment for new orders took effect on June 15. Check the current price list for your server type, IP options, and tax before ordering.

Before deploying a bot

  1. Estimate memory and disk from the app's actual usage.
  2. Configure process startup and store bot tokens securely.
  3. Make sure SQLite and files persist on durable storage.
  4. For managed hosting, start with the Deployka overview, docs, or template catalog.
