Discord Bot (JS)

A ready-to-run Discord bot built with Node.js and discord.js. Enable Message Content Intent and send !ping in a server channel to get pong.

  1. 1

    Sign up on Deployka

If you don't have an account yet — create one in 30 seconds: email and password.

  2. 2

    Get the values you'll need

This template needs one variable: DISCORD_TOKEN. Here's exactly how to get each one.

    DISCORD_TOKEN
    1. Open discord.com/developers/applications in your browser and log in with your Discord account.
    2. Click "New Application", type any name, click "Create".
    3. In the left menu, open "Bot".
    4. Click "Reset Token" (or "Add Bot" the first time), confirm.
    5. Click "Copy" under the TOKEN field — that's your DISCORD_TOKEN.
    6. Under "Privileged Gateway Intents", enable "Message Content Intent". The included sample reads message text to recognize !ping.
    7. Paste the token into the DISCORD_TOKEN field on Deployka.

The bot won't join your server on its own — invite it via "OAuth2 → URL Generator" on the same page: check the "bot" scope, the permissions it needs, open the generated link and pick your server.

  3. 3

    Deploy it

Click the button below — it opens the templates page with this template already selected. If it needs variables, paste the values from the step above and click Deploy.

    Deploy "Discord Bot (JS)"

Deploy usually takes 20–40 seconds. The project status appears in your dashboard and switches to "running" once it's ready.

  4. 4

    Check that it works

Make sure the bot is invited to the server and has View Channels and Send Messages permissions. Send exactly !ping in a channel it can access; the template replies pong. If it does not, check Message Content Intent in the Developer Portal and the project Logs.

This type of project has no web address of its own — that's expected, not an error.

  5. 5

    Something not working?

Open the project page in your dashboard → Logs tab — it shows the exact reason (wrong token, code error, missing variable). Still stuck? Contact support right from your dashboard, or via the Telegram bot with /support.
